This is Milani’s Shadow Eyez 12 Hr pencil in Brown Deluxe. It is an amazing product because it lasts all day with no fading and creasing. The pigment is wonderful, too.
I have recently become a huge fan of The Body Shop, so I was very excited when my local store finally got the Lily Cole Collection in stock. For this look, I used the Lily Cole Shimmer Cubes (pictured above), the Lily Cole Liquid Liner in Ink Up Violet and The Body Shop Big&Curvy Mascara. The result is a soft, lovely pink and purple look.
I started with the lightest shade as my all over base and applied the lavender shade on my lid. I added the darker pink to the outer corner. I applied the plum shade on my lower and upper lashes. I added Ink Up Violet to the upper lash line, just over the plum shade.
Lancome’s new Color Design Pink Safari Palette is going to be my favorite product for summer. The shades are absoulute perfection. They are silky, smooth, pigmented and have great staying power. The palette comes with six nearly full size shadows and costs $49.50 which means each shade is $8.25. The shade names are pretty self explanatory: beige, pink coral and shimmer pink peach make up the top tow. The bottom row has light beige, copper and deep brown.
Sick day makeup tips:
1.) Keep the eyes simple by using a shimmery nude or beige as an all over color.
2.) Line the waterline with a nude liner, such as Pixi Eye Bright to look more alert.
3.) Mix moisturizer with your foundation or use a BB cream to avoid looking too matte.
4.) Use a lipstain with a little bit of lip balm on top. I used Stila’s Lip and Cheek Stain in Yumberry Crush with Burt’s Bees Lip Balm over it. This will prevent you from having to constantly apply gloss or lipstick.
5.) Use lots of mascara, and do not forget the bottom lashes. I like Clinique Bottom Lash Masacara and Clinique High Lengths mascara.
6.) Use a little bit of an illuminator on the cheek bones(you don’t want to look overly “glowy”), but skip blush if you are prone to flushing a lot when you are sick.
This is one of my toned down FOTD ideas using the new collection by Sephora+Pantone Universe. It is a nice change from pinks, purples and neutrals. It really warms up the complexion and is perfect if you like a pop of color. Do not let the brightness fool you; it can easily be toned down and the lipstick is sheer, but very buildable. I used the Sephora+Pantone Universe Collectors Edition Set. Specifically the blush duo(Desert Flower), the orange liner, lipgloss and eyeshadow quad(Scallop Shell and Carnelian). This makes a great deep conditioner if you have dry hair. It has made the biggest difference. And it is about $4.00 for a large tub. As an added bonus, it smells pretty good.
I used NYX Matte Lipstick in Tea Rose topped with Buxom Lip Polish in Sugar to create a long lasting, high gloss lip for spring. I kept the rest of my face simple with a little BB cream, mascara and bronzer.
